About Treasure Coast Physical Therapy and Fitness
We Help People Ages 50+ to get rid of their pain, get off pain meds, become more mobile and independent, So that they can spend more time socializing with friends and less time visiting their doctor.
At Treasure Coast Physical Therapy and Fitness, we truly enjoy helping people in their 50s, 60s, 70s and above get rid of their pain, get off their pain medicine, avoid surgery and stay out of their doctor’s offices, so that they can enjoy life, travel, spend quality time with family and friends and move like they used to without being told to just accept their condition as being age-related.
When you experience a drastic change in your movement, such as the inability to walk like you used to, difficulty travelling, struggling to play with your grandkids or having a hard time playing golf or going out to dinner with your friends, you may find yourself asking “Why did this happen to me?” and “What do I do to fix it?” It may have been a recent loss of balance and a fall. It may have been a quick movement that caused pain. Or it may have been a progressive worsening of pain over time.
Whether it’s pain in your back, neck, shoulder, hip or knee, then you may be asking yourself “Now what do I do?” Initially, you will try to push through it, but many times this just makes it worse. So, you put on some ice and maybe do a few stretches that a family member or close friend told you to do. You may even guess at what the issue could be, go on You-Tube, and search for exercises to do for what you think is the problem.
But time, rest and cookie cutter You-Tube exercises don’t do the trick and you actually start to feel worse. The pain increases, your balance deteriorates and you actually feel yourself getting weaker and weaker. You decide to see your doctor, but good luck getting in within the month. Actually, good luck even being able to speak to a scheduler in his office. Most likely you will be redirected to a 3rd party answering service or answering machine that takes a message and offers a call back within 24-48 hours. That means another 2 days of not knowing what is going on.
Maybe you have some Advil or pain medicine from a prior injury that you decide to start taking to ease the pain. But the last thing you want is to get hooked on pain meds. You know it will just mask the symptoms. The root cause of this problem is not even being targeted with these pills. While waiting for your doctor appointment, you find yourself becoming agitated, frustrated, and depressed. You wake up every night about two in the morning wondering what’s going to happen to you. Are you going to need surgery? Are you going to be in a wheelchair or walker like your neighbor uses? Are you going to be able to enjoy an independent lifestyle anymore?

We Truly enjoy helping people
Remain Active
So you can continue to enjoy quality time with family, running after your kids or grandkids, going to the playground, playing 18 holes of golf, or confidently leave your house without fear of falling down or returning home in agony.
Get off pain medicine
So you're not relying on drugs to ease your pain and get you through the day. Plus without pain meds, you don't have to worry about any nasty side effects. Remember, these drugs only mask the pain, they do nothing to fix the source of the problem.
Avoid Major Surgery
Once we get to the root cause of what's going on, which usually becomes apparent within the first 20 minutes of a visit, we will know where to go from there to resolve it and avoid surgery.
Provide Peace of Mind
Once we figure out what is wrong, we will begin to focus on a customized program to correct it so that you are healed and able to move on with your life.
Live Life to its Fullest
So you can get back to spending quality time with family and friends, going to restaurants, travelling, playing cards, sleeping through the night without a physical pain or emotional stress waking you up, get back on the golf course, tennis court or Pickleball court.

What Can You Do To Get rid of your pain and improve your balance and strength?
- First off, you need to make a decision about getting help. So many people procrastinate for so long, thinking that the pain will ‘just go away with time’, or that their balance isn’t that bad, but then 6 months down the line, nothing’s changed, it gets worse, and they have may have even become worse.
- Next, do the RIGHT exercises – one of the best things to help you ease your pain and improve your balance is to do the right series of progressive exercises – the right exercises given to you by a Physical Therapist will help reduce pain, improve strength, flexibility, and balance, and allow you to move freely again, and will ensure that that the problems don’t come back any time soon.
- Get real, “hands-on” PT – Physical Therapy is proven to help people with pain, weakness, flexibility, and balance issues. If your pain or unsteadiness is affecting your life, if your sleep is disturbed by tightness or tension, if your activity level drops, or if your independence is threatened and you are having difficulty spending quality time with family and friends, then Physical Therapy can help get you back to living the life you deserve as quickly as possible.
